Knitting my first hat

My last 3 days has been an intensive one. I've been keeping myself occupied with knitting my first hat for my niece and I'm almost done with it. Knitting a hat from scratch is really a time consuming piece of work yet at the same time when I see the final product slowly unravel before my eyes, I get swarm with a sense of satisfaction and I really like the feeling I get out of this.

Of course this is something that requires lots of patients and determination. The perfectionist in me has made me undo and redo this piece at least 10 times to make sure that I don't have any missing stitches or extra. The hardest part when it comes to this hat is probably decreasing it at the top, it's my first time working with circular needle as the length is fixed, I don't know how many times I have to poke my finger to get the needle move around!

Addi Turbo Circular Needle - 60" US 1 (2.5mm)
A sample of a circular needle I have been working with but the one I'm using for this project is a lot shorter.

Anyway I'm glad that I have finally finish this thing, well almost. I will post another picture of the final product to show you guys how it will look like, meanwhile enjoy your weekend... =)

This is a stockinette hat with rolled up rim. It took me about 2.5 days of intensive knitting to complete this (including trial and error).

Then I also crocheted an ornament for the hat so that it won't look too boring.
